How to enjoy Vietnamese noodle soup
Tips from a local: I met a Vietnamese resident of Westminster and he shared his favorite spots for:
- Pho: a spot on the southwest (I think) corner of Brookhurst and McFadden. I'll investigate soon and report name/address. "From Bolsa, pass McFadden on right"
- 7 course beef dinner: Brookhurst and Hazard. Behind Stater Brothers. "Bobilac". Also good grilled fish here.
- Buon Bo (sandwich): Brookhurst and Hazard, place called Saigon. Also Brookhurst and Bolsa.

Pho Bac Huynh OC Register, Best of Orange County Guide, September, 2000
Crowds appear for breakfast, lunch and dinner at Pho Bac Huynh, where they'll find light, homemade Vietnamese fare. Pho is served in a rich beef or chicken broth garnished with green onions and cilantro. Try some with sliced round or flank streak, meatballs or tender morsels of chicken. Both versions are served with bean sprouts and basil.
"We're very proud of the qualitys" said owner Tam Nguyen. "We keep a pot of beef and bone marrow cooking 24 hours a day."
The Vietnamese have created beverages that complement the spicy and fragrant elements of the cuisine. There are three kinds of lemonade, freshly squeezed orange juice and iced tea.
Adventurous diners will certainly want to try and ca phe sua da, a traditional combination of espresso and condensed milk; soda sue hot ga, which is egg yolk with condensed milk in soda; or cold drinks made from coconuts or soy beans.
